Self defence, accused said

Daniel Tokarchuk confessed to killing drug dealer Trevor Savoie but
insisted it was in self defence since he feared for his life because
he owed a $10,000 debt to the Zig Zag Crew member, a court heard
yesterday. "Mr. Tokarchuk found himself in difficulty and chose to
strike first ... He simply did not have the money to repay," Crown
attorney Bob Morrison said yesterday in his opening statement in
Tokarchuk's trial for second-degree murder.
Savoie, 25, was shot to death May 12, 2002. Tokarchuk has pleaded not
guilty to murder.
Morrison disputed Tokarchuk's claim the killing was in self-defence.
Savoie was 5-foot-6 and 125 pounds and didn't have a weapon the night
of his death, Morrison said.
Had he intended to hurt Tokarchuk -- who stood 6-feet tall and weighed
195 pounds -- Savoie would have had no problem enlisting the help of
his friends and then-Hells Angels associates Dale Donovan, Billy
Bowden and Ian Grant, Morrison told court. All three men are now
members of the biker gang.
Tokarchuk's cocaine debt motivated the shooting, Morrison said.
Morrison also linked Savoie's death to the unsolved murder of
Tokarchuk's brother, Kevin, calling it "an act of vengeance, a
punishment to Daniel for the killing."
Kevin Tokarchuk, 24, was shot in the head in the garage of his
family's home May 12, 2003. Allegations police failed to warn him
resulted in eight cops being placed on leave while an investigation
took place. All have returned to work or retired.
PUPPET CLUB
Morrison said Savoie was a member of the Zig Zag Crew, the puppet club
of the Hells Angels. Tokarchuk had been selling cocaine for Savoie,
Morrison said.
In April 2002, Tokarchuk fled to Ontario to escape his debt, court
heard. He came back when he ran out of money and because he feared his
family was in danger, Morrison said.
Kevin Tokarchuk drove Daniel back to Winnipeg on May 12, 2002. Court
heard Daniel Tokarchuk called Savoie at 10:21 p.m.
The men met near Grant Avenue, Morrison said.
Tokarchuk and Savoie walked to Oxford Street and turned down a back
lane. That's when Tokarchuk shot Savoie three times with a .25-calibre
pistol, including once in his heart, Morrison said.
A bullet grazed Savoie's hand. Because of the wound, a forensic
pathologist will testify Savoie could not have been holding a weapon
when he was shot, Morrison told court.
After the murder, Tokarchuk visited friends and smoked cocaine -- then
he became nervous about Savoie, Morrison said.
"(Tokarchuk) could not be completely sure that he was dead and
couldn't be completely sure that Savoie had not managed to contact
other gang members," Morrison said.

laundering charges. The former president of the chapter there is a
police informant.

The businesses can argue before city hall to keep their licenses. VPD
can't arbitrarily shut them down. I would like to see the owners lose
their businesses and face criminal charges. Buying and selling stolen
property and using your business to sell drugs and allowing your
business to sell drugs is wrong and illegal and these people have no
business masquerading as legitimate store operators. Glad to see the
pawnshop owners are falling into line. Every police force and
detachment in the region should be doing the same thing.
I was gladdened to see that the VPD and the LCB are combining to give
record bar suspensions and fines to bar owners around the city who
refuse to follow the rules.

This all runs akin to the famous home Invasions of the early 70's and

I want the Q.C. out of Canada and the NWO to boot, they can leech of a
