Dear BCPA members,

After 8 years of service on the BCPA Executive Council, Ryun Laniec
will be stepping down. On behalf of the executive, we thank Ryun for
his contribution to the BCPA. He has always given back more to our
sport than he gained from it, and for that we are grateful.

In the event of a resignation the BCPA constitution permits the
executive to fill a vacancy between elections. We are pleased to
announce that Bill You has agreed to serve on the executive for the
remainder of Ryun's term. Bill has been an active supporter of the
BCPA, most notably in the area of public relations. He has been
creating posters for our contests and has been working to gain more
exposure for the BCPA and CPU through the media, most notably social
media websites including the new BCPA and CPU Facebook pages. See
http://www.facebook.com/pages/British-Columbia-Powerlifting-Association/291376977556248
and

,respectively.
Bill will also take over as Registrar from Walt Dengler. Please join
me in welcoming Bill to the executive.

The BCPA executive felt it was timely to do some reorganization of our
duties and these changes are reflected on the contacts page of our
website at http://bcpowerlifting.ca/contactus

The Annual General Meeting will be held in January (more details are
forthcoming) and this will be an election year. We are actively
seeking nominations for members who are willing to serve on the
executive for two year terms.

Kind regards,
Justin Gray
BCPA President
