Hey Guys and Gals!

I am just trying to gauge a little interest in a future ride for current students and alumni. The goal would be for an 80 mile ride either Memorial Day weekend, or the following weekend.  Click on the following link for ride details (http://connect.garmin.com/activity/33560203). This is by far one of the best rides I've done in New England. If your are interested please let me know so we can coordinate

Hey chuck, why don't you come down here, and I will take you on some nice rides.  Great hills, including an epic MTN Ride...

Hey Chuck,
I would definitely be down for that ride, so long as it is May 29th or 30th, I am leaving for a trip to europe on the 31st.

It sounds awesome, any other team members in Boston interested? Derek, Courtney, M.E., Kimbra, anyone else who lives in Boston?
Or any alumni/soon to be alumni: Jaime, Charlie (and your brother), arjun, chelsea, chris, brett. anyone else close to boston?

I was going to chime in with a whoa-is-me tone about how I'll host an alumni ride down here in Texas but that it would be rather lonely...but then I realized that shockingly enough there are actually three of us alumni here in Dallas alone.   Maybe I'll have to put something together.

Do we have any idea or listing of just how many BC Cycling alumni we are 'in contact' with, when the graduated, where they live etc. ???

It might be neat to see a listing of the number of cycling alumni we have info on or know about per grad year... per state... etc. etc.

Yeah, that would be cool  We need to hook up a networking spot where we can reach out to past, present and future members of BC Cycling.  Andrew, I am in GA if you are ever nearby.  Not many races here, but there is some great riding...

Ahh there is some great riding there and some great races too... Atlanta has several great track races every year which are on my radar and then there are the Crits in April with Athens Twilight and it's 30,000 frenzied fans.... there is also some 100k race or something like that which I think is in August or September.   So...you never know.

If anyone ever makes it to Dallas they should definitely hit me up.

I agree, let me see if I can put something together that can be linked to the clubs webpage, something with all of that rider info would be great.

Contact info for club members over the last few years should be easy to get, and I can just share a spreadsheet with the group on Google Docs that can be accessed by everyone.

do we have any old files for people in the earlier half of the 2000's? And the 90's?

I probably have a few sources of info for people from the early 2000's and maybe even into the 90's.

In 2005 I did a research paper on the history of BC Cycling as part of a capstone class and at that time spoke with several people from the 90's and even into the early 80's when as far as I can tell the club was first founded.

Of course since then I lost my BC e-mail account/archive... floppy disks have gone the way of the 8-track... one laptop was stolen (from my car while on a ride) another one crashed... and I've lost a few of my main USB drives...  BUT I'll see what I can come up with.

BTW, anyone have any good ideas / solutions for data management/archiving?  As you can see I sometimes have trouble with that.
