IMPORTANT: Carrier Number Element

Hi BCDA community,

From February 2 to February 10, 2021, BCDA sent an additional Carrier Number element (CARR_NUM) when data was retrieved from the DME & Carrier Profiles within the EOB resource. The value in the additional Carrier Number element matched the value in the Carrier Claim Control Number (CARR_CLM_CNTL_NUM) element.  

As of 3pm (EST) on February 10, 2021, CMS has removed the additional Carrier Number element for all records going forward. The team is currently working to restore corrected historical data for February 2 to February 10, 2021.  

We will provide additional information as soon as it is available. In the interim, please reference the CARR_NUM element with the 5-digit value, and disregard the additional CARR_NUM containing the value from the CARR_CLM_CNTL_NUM element, which is 15 characters long.
