Hello, we are mapping CCLF6 PAYTO_PRVDR_NPI_NUM according to the mapping spreadsheet you have provided (https://bluebutton.cms.gov/resources/variables/suplrnum).  However, for an ACO of ours (D.0162), we are getting 10 digit numbers which look like legacy CMS supplier numbers or Oscar Provider Numbers from the pre-NPI era.  Is this expected behavior?

Different types of identifiers may be used for this field, potentially including legacy identifiers. The ExplanationOfBenefit resource will include the identifier type as an extension whose FHIRPath is

item[%n].extension.where(url = 'https://bluebutton.cms.gov/resources/variables/dmerc_line_supplr_type_cd').valueCoding.code

Refer to the variable called DMERC_LINE_SUPPLR_TYPE_CD for the complete list of possible identifier types.
