v3 to bring advances in timeliness and performance for value-based care.

BCDA community:

BCDA v3 will go live July 1, 2026, beginning with current BCDA users. v3 offers enhancements like timelier and more frequent updates, easier claims tracking, enhanced filtering, and increased conformance with FHIR standards. By consolidating data sources, v3 can:

  • Reduce mismatching with CCLF files

  • Resolve missing data and fix issues

  • Improve linkage between partially and fully adjudicated claims

  • Introduce more consistent claim identifiers

Want to get started?

Send your Entity ID(s) to the BCDA team at bc...@cms.hhs.gov. We’ll follow up with instructions and enable your access to v3 starting 7/1/2026.

What this means for v1 and v2 implementations

Existing users will migrate to v3 between July 1, 2026 and mid-2027 (date TBD). The BCDA team will provide migration guides and hold in-person office hours for live support.

What happens next?

The BCDA team will announce v3 availability both here and on the BCDA website. We’ll provide contact information and links to support materials.

We look forward to sharing news of the launch and working with you through the migration journey!
