Hi !

Is this group still alive ?? I found the Appccelerate group too, but I cannot post there !!

What I am looking for, is a VS solution ready to go for the elevator example. I ask me
right now, shall I use 'stateless' or 'Appccelerate' and want to study the differences.
I am finding, hierarchies are a little better expressed in 'Appccelerat', but I also need
a statechange event und locking/multi-thread access.

I am "coming from usage of the 'State Pattern'" and a stateengine looks a little ugly
for me [not the usual concrete state classes], and so, I've to learn, how to organize
the work. The pro for the state pattern is, that I can load classes on demand and get
rid of them later. The way I [my fault??] am using the statemachine, needs to have
all classes [my states with methods] loaed initially.

Any help would be great!
Thanks so far and
best regards,

Hi mabra

You should be able to post to the group https://groups.google.com/forum/#!forum/appccelerate
Let me know if it doesn't work.

If you go to https://github.com/appccelerate/sensorsample, you can find a sample solution showing the different components of Appccelerate. There is also a state machine included.
Alternatively, you can download the sources of Appccelerate and take a look at the specifications. If both is too complicated for you, I can create a solution containing the sample state machine from the documentation at appccelerate.com for you (but this will take me some time).

The appccelerate state machine provides an event for state changes (see http://www.appccelerate.com/statemachineevents.html).
With extensions you can do even more (see http://www.appccelerate.com/statemachineextensions.html).

And you can build a state machine with "dynamic" states when you use ints, strings or a own class for the states (see http://www.appccelerate.com/statemachinecustomtypes.html).

Happy coding
Urs

Hi Urs !

Thanks for the response. I'll have a look on all that pointers!!!

I tried again the other google-group. If I am not logged in, there
is a post button .... if I am logged in, it's gone ;-)
Cannot post. But got your hints above at first!!
