Hi,

First, it's a beautiful work that you have done!
But I have a lot of people with .Net 3.5 on their PC, and they can't install anything (not admin rights).
I looked at the source, and it seems that you really don't need .Net 4, so why to be so restrictive?
Is it possible to add to the Nuget package the .Net 4.0 and .Net 3.5 libs (or .Net 2 if 3.5 is not usefull)  ?

Thanks by advance.
I can fork and do it if you want, but I don't want to push the Nuget packages myself.

Regards.

Hi Mathias

Thanks!

Yes, it should not be a real problem to take the sources and build it
against .net 3.5.

Let me talk with my colleagues, whether we add the 3.5 version (some
ProjectLinker magic should be sufficient I think). This way we could
add the .net 3.5 versions directly into the existing packages.

The main problem at this exact moment is that we are currently
renaming and "renovating" the project under the name Appccelerate
(https://github.com/appccelerate/appccelerate.github.com). There, we
clean-up some really old stuff and simplified releasing.

So I have three questions for you:
1) What is your time frame on a .net 3.5 version (short -> we add it
to bbv.Common, middle -> we add it to the simpler Appccelerate and you
switch from bbv.Common to Appccelerate)
2) Would it even be possible to switch for you (there are only very
little changes regarding the public interface)
3) Which components or packages are you using. So we could add them
first.

We are talking of about a month to get the first release out under the
name Appccelerate. Currently, you can grab the pre-release as nuget
packages from http://teamcity.codebetter.com/viewType.html?tab=buildTypeStatusDiv&buildTypeId=bt558
(login as guest).

Cheers
Urs

I compiled bbv.Common in 3.5, so you can take your time for the migration, I just did this suggestion to let more people use bbv.Common without this restriction :)
I saw that bbv is the name of the company, so I totally agree with you about the name changing !
I'm a organizer in ALT.Net Paris, and I think I'll take some times to discover all features of bbv.Common to do a little presentation... or maybe someone is talking french and can come in France ? :)

French is a problem here, we learned French at school but it didn't
last over the years :-(

But if you need help in preparing, just let me know.
We are currently moving (and improving) the documentation from google
code to www.appccelerate.com

Cheers
