std::auto_ptr​ is still available, but it is deprecated under C++11.

Actually, auto_ptr is suggested to be replace with shared_ptr in the the book, effective c++.

Yes, you are right. Here, it is pointed out clearly. It adds unique_ptr, shared_ptr and weak_ptr.
