Hi All,
I am very very sorry to hear this shock! Only thing coming to my mind is what we can do at this moment??? And what should we do???
Frankly speaking, for all classmates, either who getting benefit directly from BBT, or even who giving up on the tough embedded learning road, we have to say we have gotten a lot, yes, I mean a LOT, from BBT!!! We should thank to BBT, especially Teacher Zhao!!! Now it is time to try to help BBT if possible.
If no BBT, I believe most employed classmates won't find the current jobs, including 1st and following ones. As far as I know, most people got his/her 1st Canada/US professional job from BBT, while we should not underestimate what you paid, including money, effort and pain. But, that's what embedded engineers career path is. No doubt, it is only deserved for seasoned and skilled people.
If no BBT, we are not able to build current networking in most embedded industry, are we? We shared and enjoyed together. At least, I do! Also, just because we are getting know each other, we shared employment information, interview questions and etc. Some classmates got jobs by this mean! No need to take anyone as example as there are A LOT.
If no BBT, we are not able to work SMARTER and CLEVER than other co-workers in company, are we? I think, especially for this point, even for those people who has so-called solid background in Linux or embedded industry (unfortunately, I was that person), I still do believe you have gained and learned A LOT from BBT, from Teacher Zhao! At least, I do. In fact, it is hard to find a teacher like Zhao who understood thoroughly embedded knowledge and industry, and more important, he TEACH and SHARE all his treasures from his first hand experience! he is able to speak out clearly in easy-understanding way. No doubt, the stuff from his class would help all of us in our whole career path in term of long run. Try review you notes and ppt from time to time even you have been working as senior software engineer, you will know and feel I am right. Of course, someone does not agree with me. Sorry about that for those people as embedded does need you have basic fundamental knowledge. That's why I always appreciated all classmates who were working so hard and never giving up.
I could not bear losing BBT seriously. Frankly speaking, one thing, I believe, James should be responsible for is not telling everyone frankly the learning curve would be very very hard and stiff. That is not suit for everyone. It is true. No offence to anyone who gave up as sometimes giving up is beauty and smart choice.
BBT has been experiencing difficulties for a while. There are so many reasons, such as job markets, immigrated people structures. However, we are not able to control outside factors. But we do be able to control ourselves. Most important reason, for all classmates, is finding lack of knowledge we should know, even if we have job to do. That's why we need BBT and Teacher Zhao to help each other. Another problem I though. for classmates, who were/are still learning at school/home, especially for those who are changing and jumping in embedded, we need BBT platform more, as we could share, discuss and learn together as a group, That would be huge helpful and beneficial during climbing steep embedded learning curve!
I really hope BBT is able to continues its business. Not only for James, but also, more importantly, for all other people who are willing to continuous share and enjoy, it is a perfect platform we need! Really really enjoy Teacher Zhao's class, at least for myself!
Finally, I believe I am not the only one who thinks like this. I also believe James and Teacher Zhao are trying their best to keep BBT alive. Please give them a break and a hand if possible.
Thank you very much for reading my crappy English, and sorry for not being able to type in Chinese at work. No offence to anyone. Let's all classmates work together and do what we could to help BBT continues and keep our platform! And wish BBT better and better!
Thank BBT and Teacher Zhao seriously!!!
