'Bioinformatics Week Celebration' 19-25 March, 2012

Hello guys,

 I believe all of you are aware about the 'Bioinformatics Week' celebration planned in our department from 19-25 March, 2012. I want you guys to spread the news to your friends and make the event a grand success. For your information, The Week celebration includes a two day National Seminar on Intelligent Computing in Biological Sciences and a Five day National Workshop on 'Computational Biology'. 

We have managed to rope in some of the greatest Bioinformaticians in India as speakers. The speakers are Dr Vivek Tanavade from National University  of Singapore, Dr Michael Gromiha from IIT Madras, Prof Venkatesh from IIT Bombay, Dr Uday Deshpande from RGTBT, Pune, Dr.Chandrika Rao( not yet confirmed) from Nicholas Piramal, Dr Akash from CDFD, Hyderabad etc.. and the lectures are arranged in a sequential manner like, the first talk would be on Next Generation Sequencing, followed by Sequence analysis and Phylogenetics.. then to Gene Expression analysis.. then to Systems Biology.. then to Structural Bioinformatics.. then to advanced analysis.. then to clinical bioinformatics and finally with the recent trends.. 

so a person who attends the same will get a full cycle knowledge.. Never ever has any one arranged the talks in this fashion.. we are the first.. and same is the case with the workshop.. 

we have only 120 seats for seminar and 40 seats for workshop, keeping in mind that the participants will get a good chance to have a one to one interaction with the speakers and thus getting more exposure for further research career. So those who want to get benefited may please register for the same and inform your friends about the advantage of attending the same. Also you can put up research posters and abstracts- if selected will get printed in an Abstract book with ISBN number and the best 3 posters would get Rs15000/-, Rs.10000/-, Rs.5000/- as cash award. Brochure and Registration form attached herewith.  The registration fee is Rs 750/- for the two day seminar and Rs 2100/- for the five day workshop. Never anywhere you get a five day national level workshop or a two day national level seminar with such kind of eminent speakers at such a low fee. JanuGanak- Bioinformatics community of our department's prime motto is to spread Bioinformatics and its applications. Be a part of this event and make it a grand success.
