Hello, I am something new in TCP, I have a wisp network and BBR seemed interesting to me because of packet loss and browsing acceleration. I have a network managed with Mikrotik and I would like to do a test to see the difference, I was reading that it is only for web servers.
Thank you.

Compared to IP, TCP is an end-to-end protocol, so unless you are doing
some kind of a transparent TCP proxy there, BBR on the router itself
won't affect network performance[1].
What you may want to try instead is to address bufferbloat and fairness
on the network level, which will likely be a nice quality of life
improvement. For example, quick search revealed that mikrotik supports
SFQ[2], so you can give it a try.
[1] Unless you'll be using bbralong with fq scheduler on all network
interfaces.
[2] PCQ looks way more versatile, so if you need more flexibility you
can try it instead: https://wiki.mikrotik.com/wiki/Manual:Queues_-_PCQ

BBR is a sender-side implementation, so I do not think it will make much of a difference if you are looking for browsing acceleration.

Hi, thank you for you answer. I'm looking for a free solution like BBR, Linux Cubic, Wanos, etc. To operate as Bequant's BTA solution, tcp proxy transparent.
I hope that with BBR, I can take advantage. thanks.
