Dave Taht has passed away.
Some of you may have known him, while many might not have heard his name. Dave Taht was one of the fiercest fighters against bufferbloat, and you may have even seen him participating in this mailing group. His contributions to Active Queue Management (AQM) techniques, such as FQ-CoDel and CAKE, have been phenomenal. He was relentless in his pursuit of improving internet performance, particularly by reducing latency.
This post is not about BBR, yet I sincerely believe that everyone in this forum should take a moment to honor Dave and remember him for his unwavering enthusiasm in making the internet better.
Rest in peace, Dave. You will be missed.
