I imagine support in iOS would be under Apple's purview, not Google's.

They'll probably want to see a stabilised version with clear, unambiguous benefits, and no mysterious loss of performance on random wireless links - which means BBR2, at least.

And, since Apple was on the forefront of enabling ECN by default, I expect they'll want proper ECN support in BBR as well. Presently that information is not integrated, so ECN has to be disabled when BBR is used.

The Google BBR team has a long-term goal to support TCP BBR in Android.

For iOS, you would have to ask someone at Apple.
