Hi all

I seem to remember seeing somewhere a diagram for replacing the 12x2114
chips in the Atom's video RAM with a single 8K chip but can't seem to
find it again....can anyone point me in the right direction....

Cheers.

Phill.

Hi Phill,

I don't know if you can read Dutch but there is an article at:

http://www.acornatom.nl/hardware/cmos/cmos.html

Look at the bottom.

Alas no :( However since it's a single sided PCB looks straight forward
enough.
Ahh yes that's the one I had seen before.

Cheers

Indeed, there's nothing to it. Just pluck the available address and data
lines from the 2114 sockets, then re-purpose the 138's address lines to get
the remainder.

Simples!
