Hi!
My name is Rebecca Roudman and I lead the band the Death and Taxes Swing Band. We are performing on the USS Hornet in Alameda for a very special Valentine’s Day swing dance and I wanted to know if you could share this event with your dance community. This event was very popular last year and sold out.
The concert is on Feb 14 at 7 pm.
We’ll be performing hits from the 1940’s and 1950’s with all danceable tempos.

The USS Hornet is opening up its bulkheads and hatches for a 1940’s swing dance on February 14. This evening will feature drinks, dancing and a whole lot of nostalgia and romance. The Bay Area’s unavoidably swingin’ big band, the Death and Taxes Swing Band will provide an evening of great music for dancing or listening. Come as a couple or come to meet someone!
At 6:30 doors will open for drinks and appetizers, and then at 6:45 there will be a short introduction about the history of the ship. At 7:00 there will be a short dance lesson and then the Death and Taxes Swing Band will take you back to the 1940’s until around 9:00.
Tickets are $30 in advance, $35 at the door.
