"Immersion into 5,000 Years of Dance in 45 minutes" is the title of David Lei's talk this Sunday, Jan 25.

If anyone can give such a knowledgeable overview of Chinese dance, it’s David Lei. A scholar dedicated to the story of the Chinese in America, his talk will encompass the roots of Chinese dance, its evolution, and how we experience it here in the US. One highlight topic is a deep look at the Lion Dance. His experience as a dancer, as a founder of two SF Bay Area dance troupes, and his years with the SF Ethnic Dance Festival, give him a deep understanding he’s happy to share. Mr. Lei's presentation is moderated by Gigi Jensen, and hosted by the NFO F.O.L.K. Chats program.
