We’ll dance vals, schottis/reinlender, hambos, favorite polskas, easy mixers that everyone can do, and more.

The music will feature our longtime friend, Mikkel Thompson, who for many years coordinated the SF Bay Area Nordahl Grieg Leikkaring.  A resident of Stockholm for decades, Mikkel, a Norwegian American, was raised in Minnesota. Both a skilled dancer and musician, he is known for his beautiful and sensitive playing of durspel (2-row accordion).  Mikkel returns to the U.S. annually each fall to teach dance workshops and perform with Ginny Lee in the U.S. and Canada.  They will be teaching Springleik at Camp Norge Folkedans Stevne, Oct. 24-26,  in Alta California. (Not too late to register). Listen to Mikkel playing:  pols, and vals.

Dance Party $10, Sliding Scale for students and low-income

(All proceeds go to pay rent and support the musicians)

Plus Local Bay Area Musicians TBD
All are welcome, including children!  Bring friends!
And don’t forget your dance shoes.

Happy Dancing,
Fred & Toby

PS:  Special thanks to our regular dancers who confirmed that they would attend a weekday party!  We look forward to dancing with all of you soon!
