Dear California Folk Dance Federation Friends,
On behalf of the American Dance Arts Collective (ADAC), I would like to warmly invite you to join us for our upcoming performance, America the Beautiful, on Monday, July 6, in Roseville.
This special family-friendly production celebrates the 250th anniversary of the United States through traditional American music, dance, and storytelling. Featuring live musicians and youth performers ages 7–18, the show explores the many cultural threads that have shaped our nation—from Appalachian traditions and clogging to swing, tap, folk dances, and more.
This performance also serves as our farewell concert before ADAC travels to France to represent the United States at Festival des Enfants du Monde, a CIOFF festival bringing together young performers from around the world.
We are especially grateful to the California Folk Dance Federation and its scholarship program. Your generosity has quite literally helped make this life-changing cultural exchange possible for many of our young performers. Because of your support, children who might not otherwise have had the opportunity to participate will be able to share American folk traditions abroad, learn from their peers from around the world, and serve as cultural ambassadors for our country. Thank you for investing in the next generation of folk artists and tradition bearers. As friends and supporters of traditional arts and cultural heritage, we would be honored to have you join us!
Tickets and information are available at www.peacethroughdance.org.
Thank you again for your support of folk arts and the young people who carry these traditions forward. We hope to see you there! If you are a new friend, I'd love to meet you at the show! Please come say hello!
Warmly,
Alex
