My sweet memories of Joyce go back to early days at Mendocino camp and the Wild Women's cabin. I feel fortunate to have known her.

Joyce was one of the first people we met when we joined Andy’s Beginners Class a few years ago. She was lovely and shared a lot about the folk dancing scene with us.

 As the Coming Events column writer, I appreciated hearing from Joyce on a regular basis about the folk dance music events coming down the pipeline and shared many of those events with everyone in my column. I am going to miss hearing from her. She was a great resource and a fun and enthusiastic advocate of folk dancing everywhere in the Bay Area.
