Dear friends,

We warmly invite you to Folklor Night, a special evening celebrating the rich traditions, music, and dances of the Balkans, hosted by Balkan Folk Ensemble: Cardak.

January 31st, 2026.

Marina Community Center

DOORS OPEN: 3PM
PROGRAM STARTS: 4PM

For those who may not know us, Balkan Folk Ensemble is dedicated to preserving and sharing the folkloric heritage of our region through dance, music, and community. Our own ensemble, Čardak, will present traditional pieces from Bosnia and Serbia, and we are honored to be joined by wonderful local groups who will showcase the diversity—and the shared spirit—of the Balkans.

Pendari will present Bulgarian folk dances
Alati tis Kiladas and Ypsosi will perform traditional Greek dances

Together, these performances will highlight both the differences and the similarities across our cultures, and most importantly, the beauty of the Balkans as a whole.

The evening will also feature homemade Balkan food and Balkan goodies for sale, including honey, homemade bread, and jam—made with love and tradition.

Whether you come to support a specific group, to reconnect with familiar traditions, or simply to enjoy great music, dance, and food, we want everyone to feel welcome and to have a wonderful time.
