Hi folks! Please join us on Saturday, September 12 at The
Back Room, one of our favorite venues. We've got some groovy new tunes as well
as old favorites to share with you.
We are proudly donating a portion of the proceeds from this show to Community Kitchens, an amazing Oakland non-profit whose
mission is "to bring together our whole community to harness the power of
food to change lives, uplift communities and protect our
environment." We are excited to help support their good work
with our music.

The Back Room is an all-ages, BYOB (for those 21+) space, dedicated to (mostly) acoustic music of all kinds. You are welcome to bring your own food and beverages. The venue is ADA accessible.
Fusing funky Balkan rhythms, gritty Appalachian ballads, arresting vocal harmonies and enchanting acoustic textures, Janam creates a one-of-kind musical experience. Janam unites some of the Bay Area's most playful and imaginative devotees of southern Balkan and American roots music who weave together folk tunes and their own colorful compositions and take their audience on a labyrinthine musical ride. Janam features: Dan Auvil on percussion and voice, Sal Beeby on guitar, Juliana Graffagna on voice, accordion and tambura, Gari Hegedus on oud, saz, mandocello and mandolin, and Shira Kammen on violin, harp and voice.
