Join us, East Bay Folk Dancers in Piedmont

This Friday for dancing!

LOCATION:          Piedmont Veteran's Hall - 401 Highland Avenue, Piedmont. (For those of you new to our location, our side entrance is located next door to a fire station, at the corner of Vista Avenue and Highland Avenue.  When looking for other landmarks, on the other side of Vista Avenue from the Veteran’s Hall, there’s a Bank of America and a small parking area where there is also a small store called Mulberry’s Market.)

TIME:                   7:30 - 10:00 pm

DANCING:          All request, with some possible demonstrations of new dances

PRICE:                  $5, for now, with free admission for first time attendees.

TEACHING:        Although we’ve suspended official long bouts of teaching, we think it’s time to have some possible quick demonstrations of new dances that people might have learned and would like to share with the group.  This seems like a good idea so that we don’t become stale and bored with the same old dances over and over again.  The main point, however, is that no one seems to want really long teaches of dances, other than when master teachers may come to us.

*New policy on masking.

Although we still request that everyone be vaccinated, and boosted against COVID, we now have a masks optional policy.

Obviously, if you have been exposed to someone with COVID, or if you have any symptoms of the virus yourself, please do not come, as you risk spreading the virus to others.  We still prefer that there be no food or drink, with the exception of your personal water bottle. And, there is always a drinking fountain available in the facility.

Additionally, now that masking is optional, and there is a greater possibility of someone getting COVID, it’s very important that if anyone who ends up contracting COVID, they should notify me, or someone in our group, so that everyone who dances with us can be alerted.

Should COVID information change in the future, with unexpected new and more dangerous variants, then you can expect the possibility that it might necessitate a return to a mask mandate. Thanks for your understanding. In the meantime, HAPPY DANCING!
