June Pinewoods Registration
|
|
|
Here are the
facts!
Two sessions! Three options!
-
Weekend: Thursday afternoon, June 25 – Monday morning, June 29
-
FolkDays: Monday afternoon, June 29 – Thursday morning, July 2
-
Both sessions: Thursday afternoon, June 25 – Thursday morning, July 2
Superlative staff!
-
Roo Lester and Larry Harding – Scandinavian and Basque dance
-
Angela Angelova – Bulgarian dance
Two bands of masterful musicians for live music at the evening dances!
-
Weekend: Pinewoods Band
-
FolkDays: Flying Squirrel Orchestra
Here are the
hopes!
That you can join us for the fun this summer, for one session or the other, or - ideally
(in our humble opinion), for both sessions.
Finally, here are the
deets!
Registration
-
Registration opens for all on
Thursday, January 22 at noon (Boston time)
-
Priority will be given to current 2026 FAC members for the first 24 hours.
Not sure if you’re a member? Send an email to the office and we’ll check our records!
-
Should one or both of the sessions fill beyond capacity with FAC members in the first 24 hours, a lottery will be held over the weekend and notices about whether you are accepted or waitlisted will
be sent out the following week.
Families will be accepted or waitlisted together. The registration form will ask you
the names of your clan members.
A note about waitlists – they are not a death knell to attending! During the winter
months, there is very little movement, but as camp draws closer in May and June, things start shifting and we end up going through a waitlist quite quickly.
A Final note
-
We are updating the website and
more information – specifically, fees - will be available very soon.

Pierre and I look forward to the frolicking, dancing, diving into the ponds, music-making
and late-night cavorting that awaits us in just six months!

Folk Arts Center Annual Appeal
|
|
|
To support FAC’s diverse programming, we rely on grants, donations, and membership dollars to address the costs
not paid directly by event revenue. We’re asking for your help now to support
FAC and its myriad programs, collaborations, and dreams for the future.
We send an Annual Appeal mailing every December to current and former members and donors, asking for your support
through individual donations and memberships.
But we can’t afford to mail the Appeal letter to everyone on our mailing list.
We do really appreciate the generous response of so many of you, and we still hope to hear back from more of
you – perhaps it keeps slipping down the To-Do Pile (can’t we all relate to that?!). For those not receiving an Annual Appeal letter, we would love to welcome you into the FAC community.
No matter the size of the gift, all donations are greatly appreciated. Here is the
link to
the Support FAC page. The first section is about memberships and levels. Scroll down and under “More Ways to Give” you can find the details on “Cash Contributions”.
Plus, as we prepare to open registration for
June
Pinewoods camp, I’d like to remind everyone that FAC members receive priority in filling camp, as well as a discount on the camp fee!
Thank you for being involved with the Folk Arts Center, and, through your donations and participation, helping
us to continue supporting the traditional folk arts and those who practice them for years to come.
