Last Call to Support Tuition Fundraiser

Hello, friends!
Just one more week before we open registration for Balkanalia 2026! But we can’t do that before we know how much to charge for tuition.
Our goal is to raise $5000, which would let us keep tuition at the same rate as last year (subsidized optional rates included). We’ve raised $3250 so far — that’s 65% of the way there!
Thank you to those of you who’ve already pitched in. We are so very grateful.
If you haven’t donated yet (or maybe you’d like do it again?), any amount is welcome. If everyone who’s ever been to Balkanalia gives a little bit, we can easily get there.
Why contribute?

More people at camp: Keeping tuition low, and keeping subsidized rates, means more people can attend camp when times are tight.

Pay our bills now: We have expenses before we get money from registrations. Having a cushion up-front means (for example) staff don’t have to wait until after camp to get their flight refunded.

Plan for 2027: We use the registration money to pay the Camp Angelos deposit for *next* year, to reserve our spot. (Btw: The deposit for Camp Angelos is $2500; the full cost is $10,000.)

A note about Zeffy:
Zeffy is a free online donation platform, but they also rely on donations to run. They will ask you for a donation to Zeffy (“Help keep Zeffy free for Balkan Festivals Northwest”) before you submit your payment. The default
amount is 15%. We do not see this money and can’t refund it. If you don’t want to donate to Zeffy, you can select “Other” in the section, and set the amount to 0 (or whatever amount you want to give to Zeffy. They are making our fundraising lives a bit easier.)
