Hello, Bare Bones,

I love, love, love the new "Highlight instances of selected text" feature.  However, the thin, light gray underlining is much too difficult to see.

1.  Can you add a setting to make the underlining thicker?
2.  Can you add a setting to change the color of the underlining?

Thank you in advance for your help!

Although this is something that should go in a feedback message to Bare Bones, I agree. The “quick find” feature already handles two shades of highlighting for the found text.

I’ll be putting this in a feedback message to Bare Bones, the underline style of related word display is different to the one that already existed, and hard to see in dense text.

Or even better - a background color.

Did anything ever come of this? Hidden setting perhaps? Custom highlight colors seems pretty obvious. I can't imagine how the feature was implemented without that.

Not hidden. In 11.5, back in January:

* Added control to the Editing preferences so that instances
of the selected text may be highlighted if desired, rather than
underlined.

Someday I'll look back on all this and laugh... until they sedate me.

Right, but that's not a custom color. The issue is that the default gray is difficult to see.

11.5.1 contains a change that should address this as well:

* Text underlined or highlighted by the "Display instances of
selected text" matching now uses the "Plain text" color, rather
than deriving from the "Background" color.

We currently don't plan to introduce another color setting, but
thanks for the feedback.

Doesn't BBcolors still work?
