For some reason, I am getting the following error while using BBEdit
version 9.0.1, running Mac OS X 10.5.5:

You do not have sufficient privileges to perform this operation (MacOS
Error code: -5000)

I get this error about every 10-60 seconds. I can hit "ok", and it
goes away, only to reappear later.

I am guessing that this error is related to auto-saving, or it has
something to do with a temporary directory, and the permissions are
not set properly.

I tried to uncheck this setting in the preferences, but that didn't
help:

Automatically refresh documents as they change on disk

Any ideas will be appreciated. Needless to say, productivity is way
down with this error...

Thanks,

Tony

Please make sure that your login account has read & write permissions for
BBEdit's prefs file and folder, and its application support folder.

That'll probably do the job :-) but in case not, please contact tech
support <sup...@barebones.com> so we can gather more info.
