Weird problem

I’ve got a file which I opened some time ago.
I’ve since changed my preference for tabs to be Auto-expand tabs.

In this old file however it doesn’t obey the new preference. It inserts tabs instead of spaces.

How do I force my files to use the current preference setting?
My searching of the BBEdit documents didn’t find anything, though I have a vague memory that there
is some command to do this.

Edit -> Normalize Options ... is the (UnDo-able) command that will reset a document's display and editing options to your default preferences.

Other than it being listed in the "Listing by Menu and Command Name" section, I don't think it is mentioned anywhere else in the BBEdit User Manual.

Oops. Make that a non-UnDo-able command.
