I'm using the CodeKit's Kit-language for coding a static website based on Bootstrap 4 and have an issue with BBEdit not always recognizing the suffix ".kit" as HTML-language.
Please take a look at this two .kit-files:


even if they look similar

Do you have an idea?

Try adding "kit" as a filename extension mapped to HTML, in the Languages preferences. This will map the extension directly without relying on guesswork.

In that case, check the language popup in the status bar and see whether "(automatic)" is selected;

As Rich suggested I have contacted the support for this and Patrick said the exact same thing as you: putting only ".kit" for the suffix solved my problem.
