Hey!

I'm using the CodeKit's Kit-language for coding a static website based on Bootstrap 4 and have an issue with BBEdit not always recognizing the suffix ".kit" as HTML-language.

Please take a look at this two .kit-files:

  • the first one - items_index.kit - is recognized as a HTML-files

  • the second one - nav.kit - unfortunately not

even if they look similar

Do you have an idea?

I attach the two files.

Thanks!

Regards,
Vlad

Try adding "kit" as a filename extension mapped to HTML, in the
Languages preferences. This will map the extension directly without
relying on guesswork.

In that case, check the language popup in the status bar and see whether
"(automatic)" is selected; if it is, please proceed to write a request
to <sup...@barebones.com>.

Vlad,

On the "Custom filename extension mapping" in the language preferences try to put just ".kit" for the suffix (without the quotes and with a preceding dot) and of course HTML for the language.

Best regards,

Jean,

thanks for the reply!

As Rich suggested I have contacted the support for this and Patrick said the exact same thing as you: putting only ".kit" for the suffix solved my problem.

Thanks again!

Regards,
Vlad
