Good question!
My not so good solution is to use an Applescript script to open a file I am editing with BBEdit in Idle's editor (the script is in BBEdit's menu and can be called by a keystroke).
Another menu gives me the choice of executing the python file in terminal, but that is even less desirable in most occasions.
