The highlight color used by quick find seems to be a pale yellow, which doesn't work well with white text.

I've looked through the text colors options but it doesn't use either the primary or secondary custom highlight colors. I don't see anything in General that uses that color either.  I thought it looked similar to the shade used for Differences, but adjusting that color didn't do anything either.

Is there somewhere to adjust either the highlight color or the highlighted text when using quick find that I'm missing?

The Find field that pops up at the top of a document when you hit cmd-alt-F.  I thought I saw it referenced somewhere as quick find.

Ah, that's the proper name for it!  I thought I saw it called quick find somewhere and didn't see anything in the Edit menu.  I completely forgot that there was the Search menu until I went looking to figure out where you found the name.

Yeah I always just use Cmd-F. Not sure how that is functionally any different from Live Search.... Anyway, we each learned something.

It's a Spotlight-style search, where as you are typing it is showing you how many matches and is highlighting what matches.  There also isn't any replace functionality with Live Find, it's just for searching.

I tend to use Live Find for searching because it is real-time, showing me what matches and taking me to the closest match with every keystroke.  I can be halfway through what I am typing and already know that what I'm looking for isn't there rather than typing the entire thing into the Find/Replace dialog and doing a find from there.
