I am not used to "Live Match Highlighting" while searching, and I would rather turn it off if possible.

Is there a preference, hidden or not, to turn it off? Perhaps some way of toggling on or off?

Thanks,

Nestor

I think what you want is

Preferences > Editing > Live Search results

Uncheck that and try again.

Thanks TJ. I tried your suggestion but it doesn't seem to work.

Preferences → Editing → uncheck “Display instances of selected text”.

Thanks Maarten. I have that unchecked as well.

Out of topic: thanks very much for your scripts for TeX compilation, I have been using them for many many years, more than I can remember.

Best,

Nestor

Thanks Maarten. I have that unchecked as well.

If that doesn’t solve it, it is time to contact support.

You’re welcome, and thank you.

If you're referring to the live matching while editing in the
Find window, 13.1 (recently announced on this list) includes a
switch in the Find window for that purpose.

Someday I'll look back on all this and laugh... until they
sedate me.

I am sorry, I don't see such a switch in the Find window, so I am not too sure that we are talking about the samme thing. I have 13.0.6 and checking for updates gives no new version.

Thanks!

Nestor

Sounds like this might be it. It does make me nervous to use the " _pre-release_ version". I think I could survive till the next public release.

Thanks!

All the best,

Nestor
