Good { morning, afternoon, evening },

Here are some key details on pricing and upgrades for BBEdit 13:

*   The price for a single new license remains at US$49.99.

*   If you purchased BBEdit 12 *directly from us* on or after
May 1,
2019, you are eligible for a free upgrade.

We will be sending email to all eligible registered
customers by
Tuesday, October 15, 2019. Thank you for your patience. :-)
Meanwhile you can certainly use BBEdit 13 in evaluation
mode until
     your new serial number arrives.

*   BBEdit 12 customers who purchased between the original 12.0 release
date of October 12, 2017 and the free-upgrade cutoff date
of April
     30, 2019 can upgrade for US$29.99.

*   Registered customers of older BBEdit versions (2.5 through 11.6.8,
     inclusive) can upgrade for US$39.99.

*   BBEdit 13 is in the Mac App Store. If you have an active
subscription, you will have immediate access to all of
BBEdit 13's
     advanced features.

*   If you have been using BBEdit 11 or 12 in Free Mode, BBEdit
13 will
reset your evaluation period, and you will have a full 30
days in
which to try out all of BBEdit 13's new features. After 30 days,
BBEdit 13 will return to Free Mode.

Someday I'll look back on all this and laugh... until they
sedate me.

Agreed, looking forward to it…

…assuming I can buy it.

Have tried to get through teespring's purchase process twice now and it always fails to show the amazon payment options. (My only Safari extensions are 1Password and NNW's “Subscribe to feed”)

Wish they would get around to adding ApplePay.

And that they would not require me to make ups. Fake phone number, but that’s a different issue.

If you must choose between two evils, pick the one you've never tried
before.
