Hi,

Is it possible to get alternating background color in the editor?
And also, is there a way to set BBEdit to show line numbers by
default?

Regards,
Stefan

Did you ever looked into the Preferences?

First Question:

BBEdit > Preferences > Text Colors

Second Question:

BBEdit > Preferences > Text Status Display

Did you ever read the original question? ;)

There's nothing in the preferences that will give you alternating line colours (e.g., like what the Finder does in list view). The best you can do is highlight the _current_ line in a different colour (set in the location that Marek mentions).

I don't believe to be an option for alternating line colors. I've not
seen it. But you can turn on line numbers by default. It's under
Preferences/Text Status Display.
