LF vs CR vs CRLF option disappeared from status bar

I've been using a feature in the status bar area (bottom of each window) of BBEdit that controls whether how line feeds are encoded, whether LF, CR, or CRLF etc.  



Suddenly I'm not seeing it. (In the image below it would have been a pulldown to the right of the "Text File")


Did it disappear due a setting I accidentally tripped, a because of a version upgrade?
Is there a way to get it back?  Or maybe it's there plain as day but I'm somehow not seeing it?

You can bring it back in the preferences:

To answer the other part of your question, it was turned off in 3.5:
