Hi everyone,

I wanted to let everyone know about an event that Farmer Fred is speaking at. If you are free, it would be great to support him! Details and link are below.

Just Food and FoodKarma Projects have teamed up with WNYC's Leonard Lopate to bring you a three-day food festival in The Greene Space at WNYC to explore the locavore movement, urban farming, vegetables, cheesemaking and chickens. With demonstrations, live music and wine!

    Hi Joelle

I'm looking forward to seeing the movie tomorrow! I work for Hazon,
an organization who helps to set up CSAs all across the country
(including this one!). We're planning a Food Conference in December,
and I'd really love a chance to let everyone know about it tomorrow
night. Might there be a moment -- either before the film or at the
end of the event, where I could talk for a few minutes about the event?

I've copied info about the Conference below (you should come, too!)
-- more info is here: www.hazon.org/foodconference

Thanks for helping to pull this event together -- looking forward!

    All the best,
    Anna

The Hazon Food Conference - East Coast

    December 9-12, 2010

Isabella Freedman Jewish Retreat Center, Falls Village CT

The Hazon Food Conference is the only place where farmers and rabbis,
nutritionists and chefs, vegans and omnivores come together to explore
the dynamic interplay of food, Jewish traditions, and contemporary
life. Don't miss four days of lectures, discussions, do-it-yourself
food workshops, joyful Shabbat celebrations, and delicious,
    consciously-prepared food.

After years of holding food conferences on the West Coast, Hazon is
thrilled to bring a food-focused event back to the East Coast. We
invite you to join us for a relaxing and joyful Shabbat at the
beautiful and rustic Isabella Freedman Jewish Retreat Center, in the
    Connecticut Berkshires.

The four-day conference will celebrate New Jewish Food Movement.

Meet vegetable farmers and local kosher cheese and meat producers
Explore the intersection of food policy, food justice and Jewish
    tradition
Develop new skills in cooking, food preservation and CSA leadership
Enjoy a wonderful relaxing Shabbat with a great group of people of all
    ages!
