Winter Shares from Brooklyn Beet CSA

Hello everyone,

I wanted to let you know that the Brooklyn Beet CSA will be offering winter shares this year and you are welcome to sign up for one.

The membership form is attached. The deadline for signing up is Friday, October 30th and it would be helpful for us to receive forms as early as possible.

 

Complete details about the share are included in the form, but the basics are:

 

Schedule: Shares will be picked up on December 15, January 12, February 9, and March 16 at 30 Third Avenue (between State and Atlantic). Distribution will  be Tuesdays, 4:30 - 7:30.

 

Price: Full price veg shares are $138; low cost shares are $118. Half shares (you would split each share each month) are ONLY available to YWCA residents.

 

Share contents: Each share will contain 7 items - always a tomato and a berry, and a mix of other items. Some veggies like potatoes and carrots will come from cold storage but will not be frozen. Fresh pea shoots will also be available.

 

Lewis Waite deliveries will be scheduled to coincide with vegetable deliveries, so you can still order eggs, meat, and cheese.

We will be accepting membership forms at distribution but feel free to mail your form in (address at the bottom of this email) as well.
