Marcelo,
As you know, each row of the ResNet input file represents one
geographical site, which is referred to in the manual as a "cell".
(Pages 23-24 of the manual describe the input file format for presence-
absence or presence-only data.) Suppose that you have probabilistic
data for n species. Then the format of the ResNet input file for the
probabilistic data is identical to the format of the input file with
presence-absence or presence-only data except for column 16 through
column 16 + n - 1 of each row. When the data are presence-absence or
presence-only, columns 16-(16+n-1) contain "0" or "1". When the data
are probabilities, each column 16-(16+n-1) contains a real number
between 0 and 1.
The version of the ResNet that can be downloaded from the
Biodiversity and Biocultural Conservation Laboratory website only
allows presence-absence or presence-only data. However, there is a
different version of ResNet that can be run over the web via the
ConsNet Portal. This version accommodates probabilistic data. In all
other respects, the version of ResNet accessible through the ConsNet
portal is identical to the version available for download. In order to
access the ConsNet Portal, you will need a username and password,
which I am sending to your
lab.cricyt.edu.ar e-mail address. Feel free
to contact me via this list if you have additional questions.
