We recently received a question about the format of the target file
when the species' data are probabilities. When the data are presence-
absence or presence-only, the target file is a text file that has two
columns (see pages 23-24 of the ResNet manual). The first column is
the species number. This is an integer that increases sequentially.
The second column is the target for the species, which must be an
integer when the data are presence-absence or presence-only. When the
species' data are probabilities, the second column can be any real
number that is greater than zero. To illustrate this, I am uploading
an example of a ResNet input file with probabilistic data
(EcuadorRI.zip) and a target file for probabilistic data
(EcuadorTargetsUniform.zip). The input file contains 37727 sites and
46 surrogates. In the example target file, all surrogates have the
same target. This is not mandatory. These files can be downloaded from
the "Files" section of the BBCL_Software Google Group.
