Sorry guys! I will not be able to make it tomorrow. Some prior commitment which will result in domestic disturbance if rescheduled at this late hour. :)

Will try to make it to the next one.

Have a good one.

Time to make such meetings on Google Hangout :)

I can be on phone if you need. Can't afford the 1.5 hours commute + the talking ~2 hours :(

Sorry, will not be able to make it either! SAT exam!

Hey guys we also need to do some riding/exploring both days of this weekend
The places we need to see are whitefield and an area south of Hessarghatta called Avalahalli state forest and a peacock reserve just south of that.

Anyone game for riding this weekend? We really need to split up and check these locations out

Cheers,
-Sriniy

I'm also out guys. Missing the race this month as I'll be at the TCS 10k to support my wife who is running.

Good luck to the crew!

@Modi, Santosh  - I'll be there for timing. Please also inform Marghoob. Timing will be taken care of.

Vasu we've made your job easier.

One of the decisions taken was to give only the race finish order without timing. This simplifies things. The decision is final. Exceptions are ITT, TTT and DH

If anyone is willing to time each rider please do, but it's out of bbch teams responsibility to time riders and announce their timing. we will announce only the order and give points accordingly.

The MOM of the meeting will be sent later.

+1
That's a good call to just give the finishing order instead of timing for all.

But timing for podium positions can be done perhaps?

hehe.. no, you have not made my job easier. you have made it redundant.

hope the racing community accepts your decision too.

good luck.

Yup

There is no point in spending 3 days to give out the right timing when we knew the finish order to give out the prizes.

I don't know about the community bit but if we are to progress and make our races better we should be looking at not spending hours on these instead we can focus on much better things.

Any way each rider has his cyclo comps to figure that out and many came back saying their timing werent right..... all that adds to extra man hours spent which is kinda of worthless end of day.

If we have a team(5) who is willing to competely own this piece end to end please raise your hands. With the limited man power I don't think we should be timing.

Maybe we can just give the approximate times after the first few that we have exact timing for. Should make it a good compromise.

As I indicated, we can just approximate the timing, so with limited man power, you can just jot down the time every 30seconds or so. In any case, most of the speed freaks come armed with their garmin ammunition, and for the rest, an approx timing is good enough.

Interesting suggestion Chiddu.

Would be good to get a whole bunch of cyclocomputer readings and approximate this depending on position and past race history!
We might revolutionize the way race timing is calculated and save cost for tons of amateur races across the globe.

Quite a few folks (apart from Chiddu) told me that I came across as sarcastic with my comment - but I wasent.

I am pretty genuine about the suggestion being interesting and I was trying to see if we can break out of the box and do some innovative thinking wrt timing!

So, Chiddu please dont think I was mocking you. I typically dont do shit like that :)

Good day all. Everyone ready for the nice 100km XC race looming ahead?

No, I didn't think and don't think you were mocking me. But just thought you misunderstood my suggestion. What I meant was we just jot the timer every 30 seconds or so ( or maybe 15 - still doable), so riders 55-78 pass us, we clock 09:30:15, then 20 more , then we jot down 09:30:30, something like that. As I said, the guys who are really into speed with compare their cyclocomps/garmins with our timings for their reference, for the rest it doesn't really matter, the approximate time is good enough. And this should keep most people  happy.

Regards
Chiddu
