Hey Santosh,
Can you post more details in FB link as well as BBC community about distance of the race, direction to start and U turn point.
Seeing the map i feel its 30 km out and back so total 60 km race.
Making a U turn in Hyderabad road highway at Chikkaballapur is bit risky.. need to take care for pelotons etc.
We need to put up couple of volunteers there on both the side of the lane,

One of the reasons why we aren't posting all the details of the race online is to make riders register on the site so that we have a rough estimate of how many turn up for the race. It worked pretty well last race.

If you could register last race, then you should have been able to register this time around nothing has changed since last race. But let me try in the evening to see the issue.

Made changes on the website to launch the registration page as a separate tab/window. Earlier launching the registration app within the context of the site wasn't working as wordpress has some limitation of working with google apps script applications.

 

Now you can use

Guys,

I did a recce of the route on Saturday. Very good route and a tough course. One thing that I wanted to get a clarification on was about the U-turn point.

I hope that the U-turn is not on the highway itself. I can be quite risky with the approaching traffic from both the sides. We have a flyover near the 30km mark from the start under which we can take the U-turn. For this we can either take the service lane before the flyover(best choice) or take a left turn(U-turn) after the flyover to get on the service lane and get on the opposite side from under the flyover.

Just thought I would share it. The guys doing the marking can check it out and mark the route accordingly. We need to place a volunteer each near where the riders need to get on to the service road and at the U-turn point.
