I guess it's because you're charging $20. It would be cool if you were
asked for a few bucks to cover the charge for the room. But this is

I'm not sure what Edward has against me, but thank you to those who
replied kindly. I think we all know that 45 guys won't show. I'm
actually realistically expecting 12-15, so I can pay for the room, the
security and the liquor. Thanks. The $20 is a suggested donation, if
you only have $10 or at least something you're most welcome. This is

No vendetta, bud. Your post said you took 45 last time. If you're
really only expecting a handful, that's a completely different story.

I commend your thoutfulness on having security. I've heard of some
guys being hurt or otherwise robbed in these types of scenarios.
However, when I've been to these things, the guy usually just had a
couple of friends watching out, not hired professional security guards.

I just was under the impression this group was about fun. I guess I
was a bit put off by what looked like someone trying to make a load of
cash, when most guys do this scene for fun!

well the security is guys that i know....but i can't expect them to
manage everything and not receive anything. there will be some vodka
and mixers and most likely beer....yes, i agree if 45 showed that's a
lot of money....however even if 45 confirm then usually 15-20 actually
show.
