Business Title	MTS 1 \ Senior Software engineer
Primary Job Responsibilities	We are seeking an expert Java developer with experience in developing web application using Spring MVC and Spring web flow.  In this role, you will be part of the team that is working on the next generation of Mobile products that will provide seamless onboarding experience on Mobile devices.    Work closely with business partners and internal product management to acquire a deep understanding of the onboarding products through Mobile web. Own and is accountable for the design and development of a product feature or sub-system of a complex multi-tiered onboarding products based on high-level requirements.  Primary technologies will be Java, Spring MVC, Spring web flow. Code produced is elegant, clean, well commented, easy to maintain, and can be reused across a sub-system or feature but with no unnecessary complication or abstraction. Code is thoroughly reviewed and tested with very few bugs, and is supported by automated unit tests. Write detailed technical documentation to allow easy hand-offs to other team members Participates in architecture discussions, regularly proposes and discusses solutions to system and product changes that are directly related to the area of focus. Manage integration with the standard PayPal build and deploy process and operational tools Coordinate with other teams within PayPal as needed Investigate live application issues; perform root cause analysis leveraging an in-depth understanding of the product domain and drive the problem resolution process through to completion Work effectively to foster a strong team environment Provides leadership to others, particularly junior engineers who work on the same team or related features or product.
Job Requirements	Required Skills:   Strong Java skills in Unix/Linux environment, including Spring MVC and Spring web flow Experience building large scale, high performance transaction processing  web applications Strong object oriented programming (OOA and OOD) skills Experience with designing and architecting a scalable complex system. Coding style should be well-designed Ability to work in a fast paced, iterative development environment with weekly deliveries. Strong communication skills with the ability to understand and explain technical issues to a non-technical audience Strong knowledge of IT concepts, terminology, practices, tools, and technology Understand and practice Test Driven Development Experience with AST based IDEs such as Eclipse, NetBeans, IntelliJ IDEA   Desired Skills:     Experience with mobile web technologies Experience in Oracle SQL, PL/SQL Experience with Service Oriented Architecture Strong modeling skills – familiarity with metadata schema formats like JSON, XSD, XML, OWL/RDF Knowledge of front-end technology including native applications, HTML5, CSS3, and JavaScript is a plus
