   The article which was written by Mr Shahnawaz Farooqi & forwarded by  Mr Ashar Nahmi  is really a very good article.

   Two  three names are missing in his article, when he mention Maulana Maudodi & Maulana Ashraf Ali Thanavi he should

   have mentioned Maulana Ahmed Raza Khan Barailvi also, I not a Barailvi but I admire him for his Naatia Poetry, And the

   Majority of Muslims in the sub continent I think  belongs to his school of thought, writer:s pen should give justice to all.

   Another thing is when he mention Bihar & Lahore as centres of urdu he forgot to mention Hyderabad & Karachi.

   No hard feelings against the writer , Just a thought.

LAHORE LAHORE High Court Chief Justice Khawaja Muhammad Sharif on Tuesday dismissed for non-prosecution (non-appearance) a writ petition seeking direction to the government to make Urdu an official language of the country. The chief justice on September 21 had called the attorney general of Pakistan and the advocate general Punjab for assistance but during the hearing on Tuesday the petitioner and his counsel did not appear before the court. A citizen, Sana Ullah, had moved the petition, submitting that the father of the nation, Quaid-e-Azam, during his address to students in Dhaka in 1948 had announced making Urdu as official language of Pakistan but even after more than 62 years it was not done. He said English was made official language of the country which was not desire of the founder of the country. He submitted that the subsequent governments were under obligation to fulfil the desire of Quaid-e-Azam. He said the constitution had also laid down a provision of Urdu as official language within a specific period of time and that time had passed but nothing was done. Petitioner said a vast majority in the country could read and write Urdu and it would be easy for communication and make people understanding things.

Ek latifa bayaan karoo'n, mere saathi Saudi Arab me'n Punjaabi th'e. Woh mere saath hote pur bhi jub koi Piunjabi dost aajata to Punjabi me'n baat karna shuroo kardete aur main India Bangalore ka hone ke sabab Punjabi samajh nahee'n pata. Mai'n ne shikayat ki ke bhai mera khayal bhi raklhe'n aur Udrdu me'n baat kare'n. Unhoo'n ne naheen maana to main ne kaha Yaar aise karo Punjabi zaban likhte waqt Punjabi rasmul khat me'n likho na ke Urdu Me'n!!!!

 

Doosri baat mai'n eh kahna chaahta hoo'n ke Pakistani English me'n bahut peeche hai'n aur Aaj hame'n Duyawi taraqqi ke liye English seekhna Chahiye, kayu'n ke saara technical muwaad English me'n hai. Is ka matlab eh naheen ke Urdu Padna chod' de'n. Hum India me Musalmaan kum us kum do Zabane'n likhna padhna jaante hain. 

 

Mazhabi Ma'loomaat to Arabi Zabaan me'n hain. magar siddiyoo'n se Hamaare Aalimoo'n ne usko Farsi zabaan men le aaye. Ab to koi Farsi padhta hi naheen India Pakistan me'n Aur abhi tuk saara madhhabi muwaad Urdu me'n muntaqil nahee'n huwa. Aur ab English me'n is ki sakht zaroorat hai.

It is quite interesting to read this article. But what I found in my experience such articles should be translated and placed in English media. Such attitude educated the people and get recogniaiton. I have read many articles, political, social, educational in Urdu but never translated and placed in English. Urdu wale geene chune padhte hain sar dhondhte hain. The other thing Farooqui saheb ignore that, in the present era, techonological era and Materialistic also. People have no time to  Fikr, nazar, sochna, samjhana, khayal, Tahqeeq, taqleeqh,tahzeeb,  yeh sab alfaz. Guzishta sadi ke lag te hain. Hina Taimuri ne kiya khoob kaha hai.

 

No Jawanoo ki majbooriyan hain

Soochte kam Samjhte Bahut hain

 

Phir isi shaira ko  yeh kehna padha ke.

 

Ham se aadab jeeno ke seekho

Ham Buzragon mein baitteh Bahut hain.

 

Mein ek kitab padh raha tha. Jab TV Europe mein naya naya Aaya tha. Us waqt kisi ne likha tha ke. Maa aur Baap ki Majboori hai ke woh roti rozi kamane nikal jaate hain. Ghar ke dosre buzrug TV dekh ( Dada Dadi) waghera Dekhne mein masroof rahte hain. Aur bache, time paas ke liye games khelte hain. Aur No jawan, apni zindagi apne ham umar ke saath baher guzarte hain. Zaban ka tehzeeb se bada taluq hota hai. Tehzeeb, Tarbiyat, Aqlaq, zaban, aadab sab badon se bachoon mein aate hain. Aur yeh taqat Tahqeeq aur taqleeq ka sabab bante hai. Is ko dekhte huwe, Waseem barelvi ko kehna pada - Jab se bachoon ki tarbiyat TV ke haat mein aagayee hai. mujhe sher yaad nahin aaraha hai.

 

Yan ne Europe jo aaj se 35/40 sal qabal mahsoos kara raha tah woh hum aaj dekh te hain.

 

- Urdu ka jo sab se bada wasaf yeh hai ke. Yeh Mohabat khalis jazba deti hai jiski buniyad Insaniyat hoti hai. Jis se insaan ke andar " Good Conscience" peda karti, jis se insaan achchayi aur Buriyee mein farq peda karta hai, Ek jazba, hamdardi, dard insaniyat, fikr, nazar ki kaifiyat peda karti, soochne aur samjhne ki salahiyat deti hai. Allah jab insaad acche kam karta hai to Share Sadr atta farmata jise aap " Human Intelligence" kehte hain. Is kefiyat ke peda hone se inssan mein Sarf-Nazr, Fuhshaa " har kism ke "Corruption" se door hota hai. Urdu ke is kirdar mein Islam ka bahut bada hissa hai.

 

Hum logon ko eksoo hokar, Masail ka hal talash karna hai. Meine sirf urdu walon ko matam karte, rote, dhote dekha. 40 baras se wa waila hai aur masail per guftagu ho rahi. ba ba hal ki fikr kijiye,  sochiya, kiya tha bhool jaye, kiya karna hai sochiye, " This is the time for action" mein ne ek mazmoon lika tha, Humara masail ka hal sirf " Action, Action, Action, sirf Action hai ". Mere ek dost ne mujhe kaha ke bhai, tum action ki jagah Amal bhi likh sakte the. Meine kaha, Amal karo, Amal Karo, log chilla rahe hain,  hamare logon ko samjh nahi aa raha, ya wo samjh nahin pa  rahe hain. Isliye mein ne action likha hai. Ta ke shayed yeh na samjh to yeh samjh  jayen.

 

Agar kisi ne ek drama " Talim-e-Balighan " nahin dekha hai, to woh dekhain. Urdu ke bigadne ka sabab pat chal jayega. Waise Youtube per us ke clips majood hain.

 

Ghaltiyan Bhaoot hogye hoongi, waqt nahin hai ke dekhoon. Isliye maaf kijiye.

Assalaam alaykum wa rahmatullahi wa barakathuh Jamiah Osmania Hyderabad had instituted Urdu medium only for all faculties and at all levels.  The introduction to all its text books(they were in Urdu) at college level talked about the need and the value of using Urdu as a medium of instruction.  Unfortunately all Urdu text books were burnt and the translation institute (Darut Tarjumah) was closed by the Indian government after the invasion(called police action) in 1948.  If there is any one has an Urdu text book of Jamiah Osmania from those days, it may help to upload that beautiful introduction on Internet or copy us, so today's generation could see exactly how Urdu can help regain our connection to the past, while helping us advance materially and spiritually.

آپ کا مضمون اچھا ہے اور اسمیں محنت اور درد مندی کا احساس موجود ہے ۔ میں ایک پہلو کی جانب آپ کی توجہ مبذول کرنا چاہتا ہوں ۔پاکستان کے بارے میں تو میں نہیں جانتا ،البتہ ہندوستان اور خاص طور پر حیدرآباد کے بارے میں کچھ کہنا چاہتا ہوں، ویسے محترم احمدالدین اویسی نے اس جانب توجہ دلائ ہے ۔ شاہنواز صاحب آپنے بہار کا جو ذکر کیا ہے وہ  اتنا صحیح نہیں ہے ، وہاں صرف دوسری زبان کا  حکم جاری ہوا ہے جو اردو میں تختیاں لگانے کی حد تک ہے ۔ اس سے بہتر صورتحال مہاراشٹرا کی ہے جہاں اردو ذریعہ تعلیم کے سیکڑوں مدارس ہیں ۔ سب سے بہتر صورت حال آندھرا پردیش کی ہے ، جہاں 3067 اردو میڈیم کے مدارس،68 جونئر کالجس،6ڈگری کالجس اور ایک اردو یونیورسٹی ہے جن میں زائد از 4 لاکھ طلبہ اردو ذریعہ تعلیم سے  فاغ التجصیل ہو رہے ہیں ۔ اصل مسئلہ یہ کہ یہ سب غریب طبقہ سے تعلق رکھتے ہیں ۔ جب کہ متوسط اور اعلی طبقہ کے بچے انگریزی میڈیم سے اور مشن اسکولس سے تعلیم پاتے ہیں ۔ اس کی وجہ سے نہ صرف میٹرک بلکہ دوسرے پیشہ ورانہ نصابوں میں بھی انکی تعلیمی حالت اچھی نہیں ہوتی ۔ اب ادارہ سیاست نے تمام مسابقتی امتحانات کی مفت تربیت کا اہتمام کیا ہے جس سے صورتحال بہتر ہورہی ہے ۔ ہندوستان میں خود اردو والے اردو کی موجودہ حالت کے ذمہ دار ہیں ، جہاں اردو کی روٹی کھانے والے اپنے بچوں کو انگریزی پڑھا نہے ہیں ۔

Please do not bring in the Issue that Urdu is the language of Muslims. A language as rich as Urdu is appreciated and practiced by many of different religions.
 I am copying this to Charminarconnections as there are many of our other religion friends are even more supportive of Urdu.

Let us work on creating a supportive platform so that many more can take up urdu for study at every stage of their life even for PHD by creating scholarships fund.
