Please join us at this literary forum on April 25, 2015 for a book launch ceremony of “Shab-e-Tanhai” by Taqi Kamal. Then stay with us for a dinner reception and an evening with poets from Pakistan and India. Taqi Kamal is an engineer and a manager by training. He lives in the Philadelphia area and is an active member of the literary community on the East Coast. This book is his fourth collection of Urdu poetry. His poetry is a reflection of tradition and modernity. His early upbringing in a literary environment and family has culminated in an accomplished poet. Lets join and celebrate the scholarship of this young, and vibrant Urdu poet.  Mushaira (Urdu: mus̱ẖāʿirah مشاعرہ) is a poetic symposium. It is an event called mehfil (محفل) where poets gather to share their poetry. A mushaira is a beloved part of the culture of Pakistan and India, and it is greatly admired by participants as a forum for free self-expression.Renowned poets from the East Coast will participate in this Mushaira. Line up of these famous poets includes: Janab-e-Dr. Saleem Khan, Janab-e-Raees Warsi, Janab-e-Altaf Trimizi, Janab-e-Khalid Irfan, Janab-e-Dr.Muqtedar Khan, Janaba-Zareen Yaseen, Janaba-Sabiha Saba, Janab-e-Jamil Usman, Janab-e-Masood Sadiq, Janab-e-Dr. Mohammed Shafique, Janab-e-Mamun Aiman, and Janab-e-Irfan Patel.
