I wrote a prototype version of rules_ruby (
https://github.com/yugui/rules_ruby
).
This includes:
ruby_library
,
ruby_binary
,
ruby_test
rules
Limited support of RubyGems with
bundle_install
repository rule.
This installs gems with Bundler and make them available as a ruby_library rule.
Currently supports only pure-ruby gems.
What's coming next:
Building native extensions in gems with Bazel.
Stop using host version of Ruby, as rules_go stopped.
Packaging your gems with Bazel
