Build Meetup 2021

HI Bazel users!

A few of us in the BuildTeam Slack have been interested in bringing back Build Meetup. After some planning, we’re excited and ready to be launching Build Meetup 2021. This will be a 2 day virtual event that will be held on 24-25 June 2021. Topics to discuss include (but are not limited to) the following:

• Innovations in the area of build systems such as Bazel, Pants, Buck, BuildStream, Goma etc.
• Recent developments in the area of remote execution systems such as Buildfarm, Buildgrid, Buildbarn, etc.
• Research in the area of improving build performance.
• Tooling developed around these systems to integrate with IDEs, programming languages, debug tooling, etc.
• Experiences migrating to one of the systems listed above.
• Experiences operating these systems at scale.

Hi all!

I am pleased to announce that the schedule for build meetup 2021 is now live at https://meetup.build/schedule.html

Many thanks to everyone that's helped to organise this so far and to the programme committee for putting this body of content together

This will be a two day virtual event on the 24-25 June, with a mix of talks, lightning sessions, and panel sessions. The event has been scheduled to be as timezone friendly as possible. And if there are talks that you are not able to make, all talks will be recorded and will be freely available to all.

I hope that there'll be something there for everyone. Abstracts and speaker biographies for all talks will be published over the next week, so you will have an opportunity to get more information about the speakers and what they are going to present!
