Imam Anwar al-Awlaki... One Year On


A year ago the US ordered a drone attack against a US national resident in a foreign country. The extra-judicial killing of Imam Anwar al-Awlaki set the US on another draconian and counter-productive course, following the spectres of Guantanamo Bay, Abu Ghraib, extraordinary renditions, and water boarding. The incident also saw the killing of Samir Khan, a second US citizen.
