Dear  Bangladeshi Researchers,

Whether the article “Can Bangladesh Academy of Sciences attain one of its main objective with such poor publicity and little information?” had any impact or not, it is good to see that BAS has published the profile of the awardees in its website as news of  “BAS Gold Medal Award Ceremony 2011”.

However, this is not enough for attaining the objectives of the award. Because few days later the news will go to archive and people will usually check the award section to see and know about the awardees., not the news section. Better position of the profiles (as link with photos) will be the “Awards” section of the website where the list of awardees in different categories is.

Most frustrating of reading the news of award ceremony 2011 is that there is session jam like our universities in giving the awards. Awards of 2007, 2008, 2009 and 2010 are giving in the second half of 2011.
