Post-BayPHL 1 updates

Hello everyone -

Thanks once again to everyone who woke up early on a Saturday or Sunday morning to do BayPHL 1 with us! We had a blast running it, and we hope y’all had fun as well. Now that we’ve had a little time to recover, I had a few followup notes to send out.

First, we’ve put up solutions for the puzzles. Most of them are on the BAPHL 24 website, since in most cases we didn’t make changes to them (or made only extremely minor changes), but for the two new puzzles we wrote for BayPHL, those solutions are on the BayPHL site. However, if you’re still working on solving them and don't want to jump to the solutions, we would still be happy to do answer checks and hints via email at bap...@baphl.org.

We also included a list of the 37 (!) teams that finished. However, it is possible that by the end of the day we were a little more focused on the beer and the skits than keeping track of team progress, so it is also possible that we didn’t mark down that your team managed to solve the second metapuzzle and finish the hunt. If so, we are very sorry! But please email back and let me know so that I can update things. We really do want to give credit where it is due.

And finally, as I mentioned at kickoff, I would love for there to be a BayPHL 2 and many more BayPHLs beyond, but as of right now, there are no concrete plans. Please, please, please reach out if you would be interested in helping to create a future BayPHL and I’ll do what I can to help make that happen.
